SingTel Group Reaches 445 Million

that the mobile
subscriber base up to
its March 2012
reached 445 million
users, up nearly 11 percent for year ago.

Total mobile
customer base grew
by 273,000
subscribers, or 8.3
percent from a year
earlier to 3.58 million on March 31.

Full year extra in
postpaid segment
reached 171 000
customers, postpaid
subscribers
increased 9.6
percent to 1.95
million. This growth
was driven by
increasing demand
for smartphones and
SIMS data from the
integrated mobile
broadband bundle.

In the prepaid
segment, SingTel's
subscriber base
grew by 102,000
subscribers, or 6.7
percent to 1.63
million, led by
demand for 3G
offerings such as 3G
SIM, data and value
added services
Blackberry.
